Phantom Power is what is necessary to power condenser microphones. The electricity is a standard 12, 48 volts of power or both. Audio Interfaces, Mixing boards, and Pre-Amps all may include phantom-power as a bonus feature. If your audio chain is lacking phantom-power and you are sure you will be recording professional quality audio then you will need to invest in a small phantom power box.
