We all face times when our rhymes are just "not there" and we spit things that are faulty in many technical aspects. Although it is almost impossible to prune yourself completely of weak rhyes, a good check and balance system should be in place to minimize their appearance. You can do this by completely ignoring your written rhymes until a week or so. Then after that short period of time has elapsed you can reread your material, you should be able to see where improvement can be many. No matter how small the change, you should still fix them, people will notice your attention to detail just as they will on other types of artists. At this same time, a thesaurus or rhyming dictionary should also become tools of revision.
