Even with all that you now know and the mental adjustments and improvements you have placed on yourself you may not be able to tell that you have improved. This may prove to be frustrating, but let me assure you that it is only an illusion. Do you remember your first rhymes? If you do, then you remember how amateurish you may have sounded and swear on your great grannies grave that you will strangle anyone who may have secretly recorded it or copied it on paper, you're probably even embarrassed to hear those bars come out your own mouth. You know for a definite fact that you are much better now than you were then. Did you actually see the change or if you're like many it was completely gradual self correction like in geology how erosion in nature steadily grinds or smoothes rough edges. By applying the technical aspects to your flow, you will not at first see your shift in improvement. It is only by time and experience that you know how you have become closer to every rapper's egotistical goal of become the greatest rapper alive in some form or another.. Also, do not hide your ego, the true essence of all rappers are not rhymes, flow and image. Not to sound new-age, but the essence is the inner rapper within, by saying you do not want to become something, tells your conscience "No, he don't want" and it will unconsciously shift you to do things that reinforce you not wanting it that bad (like snacking on some fritos when you need to be editing your bars). Once confident in themselves a rapper will unleash a wrath of power only known by super heroes in comic books.
