Every one in life suffers, is jubilant, is depressed, is delighted. During emotional times in your life you will not see the logic of becoming a great rapper and lose sight of this goal in your life. If you have already reached a high plateau, you will slowly de-evolve if you do not have a daily regiment of keeping sharp and setting and accomplishing goals. Once lost in focus you may never recover and be just a shell of your former self. Materialism and elitism often hit rappers with good skill once they become famous. Famous rappers feed their ego this newfound praise that they do not have to work hard to get anymore as verification of their greatness, and so they do not work as hard anymore even with the shortest of bars.
Ask yourself this question. You have to be "great" not good to be a superstar rapper right? Then how come all rappers who were good "back then" suck so bad now? There really isn't even "one" great rapper who is famous, and don't be brainwashed by these "self-proclaimed" greatest rappers alive, I've heard thousands of rappers and little jokes like (old man and notorious, biter not a writer, hawaii silky shirt wearin) Jay-Z and (no content, no subject matter, not making sense, homosexual man-kissing, size 7 shoe wearing, midget, cocaine trainwreck, Harry Potter mark of Voldemort on his forehead, call another grown man daddy) lil Wayne couldn't hold their jock strap.
You must remain hungry, trying to become better than any rapper you perceive to better than you. This animalistic train of though will allow you to write rhymes to perfection no matter the situation. And know now that there is always someone much better than you, so let that become your drive.
